twice. No extra tech card required.
We have had some people ask about
Challenge Racing, "the
Grudge Class", on Friday Night’s Real Racing Program. So we
thought we would try and let you know what this class is all about. This class
is for you to run anyone you want to grudge with . . . Challenge them - and you set it up!
For example, if you and your friend have been wanting to run each other, here is
your chance to do so legally. You can run “heads-up” or you can work out a
“spot.” You work out the details and we will try and do whatever you want. Let’s
say your buddy says he will run you with a 2 car spot . . . or a 10 car spot. We
will do that and on the start we will give you whatever signal you want to
start. If you don't want to be subjective - or an "eyeball" - use the tree
and the true win light!
The start can be a flag start, flashlight start, drop a rag start . . . or even
a drop a rubber chicken start. It’s up to you to determine the way to start.
(Did he say "drop the chicken?").
If it is not your buddy you want to race . . . say it’s someone you have been
arguing with about who is faster – you or him/her – set him/her up and we will let you
run. If you guys want to make a friendly wager, that’s up to you.
This is the way street racing was back in the 50’s and 60’s (not sure about the
rubber chicken). I have run people and given them a 10 car spot back in
the day – and we ran for $$$ back then. You can run for fun or whatever you can
get your opponent to do. LIKE WE SAID – IT’S UP TO YOU. So come on up and run
one of our classes on Friday Nights and while you are there try to work out some
grudge races with someone. Check with Rick, Big K, Money or Joey or one of the track
officials to set-up the grudge.
It’s all about having fun and keeping street racing off the streets and on the
track. Remember, on Friday Nights we run a bunch of classes – domestics, imports, pro,
pro power adder and street legal bikes. Come on out and grudge or have some
street legal racing fun! Hope to see you on Friday Nights. Gates open at 6:00
every Friday night.
See you at the track -
Rick, Big K, Money, Camden and Joey !
